Concertgoers and conventioneers say this "older" hotel in the Lloyd Business District has a "perfect location for Rose Garden" Arena, the convention center and nearby malls, but it's "across the river" from the city center and "several blocks away" from the light rail, so it's "convenient to Downtown" only "if you have a car" (the free parking lot "fills up often"); although a few faultfinders say it's "run-down" in some respects, budget travelers get a "bang for the buck" with complimentary "use of computers" and a "kids-eat-free" restaurant (don't expect much from the fare).

Beautifully lit and constructed and very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the shuttle service and their driver.
The desk workers seemed a little put out by some requests.

All was very comfortable very enjoyable, convenient and was very relaxing.

Excellent location.
Bathroom area was a little smaller than I'd like.

Room was way more than expected. I was put on the quiet floor which I hadn't requested but very much appreciated when Saturday night I returned to the hotel with a lobby full of high schoolers

Front desk person wasn't friendly at all. Had to pay for parking. People are not very friendly overall.

I have been staying at that hotel for over 10 years, since it was the Holiday Inn. I hadn't been back in a while. It is a good hotel: clean, close to everything, comfortable, spacious, 3 star upscale, nice facilities. It is very bright and welcoming. I didn't like the attitude of the front desk person who checked me in (I believe she was the manager). There were tons of guests waiting for their room; a big group from some sort of school. I had to wait about half an hour to be taken care of. The front desk person wasn't friendly and she looked stressed out. I tried to make conversation to diffuse the tension but I guess she was on her own world and didn't care much. I have had the same attitude from other staff there. I love the hotel; I hope the staff knows that they make the difference for people to give a 5 star review vs a 3 star. ...read more

Very clean and comfortable, good location.
Staff was not welcoming seemed distracted and too busy.

This hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff this time around was not friendly at all. Room charge was about $30 more just to have robes and water bottles in the room. They charge $10 a day for parking. Has a nice restaurant but nothing complimentary is offered at all. Gets a little spendy when bringing the family. ...read more

Top end quality furniture and the bed was very nice.
Housekeeping at 8am.

We did not place the privacy hanger on the outside of the door because we only stayed one night and planned on being up around 9am. At 8 am we were woke by housekeeping knocking, frantic I ran from bed to close door and tell her no. Partially we are at fault for not placing sign, and we were first door from elevator. The coffee maker was great (keurig) and long hours of pool.
One of the beds in our room was horrible. The mattress sagged to the middle.

Comfortable, clean hotel with later than usual pool/hot tub hours were appreciated.
